Authorities had been investigating the whole thing when the Vatican High Order decided to intervene. However, Irish premier Enda Kenny spoke out against such interference. This irked the wrath of the Vatican Church. However, matters were worsened by foreign affairs minister Eamon Gilmore declaring a closure on the relations between the two countries. However, many people tried to hush over the whole situation of the outrage and retaliation.

So, this has really made the situation difficult for people. This is because Kenny ended up standing by his stance. This meant that he had intended to lambast the Vatican for its interference. However, the Vatican has responded favorably. It has agreed to send a nuncio, an emissary to Ireland. This is supposedly a move to improve the embittered relations between the two countries. Given that MSGR Brown ended up being one of the main contenders for the nuncio, it is hopeful that he will help in the intended diplomacy for the Ireland from Vatican authorities
